The Keeper Collective (stylized theKEEPERS) is a global women-centered hip-hop collective led by rapper, scholar, and educator akua naru. The collective organizes programs and projects that both critically engage and amplify the work of women and girls in hip hop music and culture; the team is currently working in collaboration with Brown University to develop the first online platform to catalog the creative and intellectual work, lived experiences, and legacies of women and girls in hip-hop across 50-years of music and culture.
